Denise Boucher (born August 25, 1935, Victoriaville, Quebec) is a Québécois writer, poet, and feminist playwright. She is most famous for her play, Les fées ont soif (The Fairies Are Thirsty), which caused significant controversy upon its debut in 1978 due to its critique of the Catholic Church's%20role in Quebec society and its depiction of female characters challenging traditional roles.
